It is only 17 miles from Denver, about a 25 minute commute for most residents. Residents of Evergreen like to say “if you’re going to live in Colorado you need to live in the mountains.”
The climate in Evergreen is actually somewhat mild. Winter days frequently see inversions, where the Evergreen weather is 10 degrees warmer than Denver. That said, the regions does get more snow.
